In my childhood I had a few Sesame Street games and my favorite character from them all was Big Bird. And I grew up being completely confident thinking that Big Bird was a 30-40 y.o. trans woman (I didn't even know what trans was besides goofy tv representation but I was sure she was trans cause of, like, the voice) that ran a shop and was like a mother figure cause she'd take care of picnic food. I now kind of know that this is supposed to be a 6 y.o. kid, but it still doesn't feel right for me, so I'll stick with my own version of canon cause Big Bird was like a mom figure for younger me, like mom chicken and I'm her lil chick.
